Zantrex 3 Info & Guide
Zantrex 3 is a new yet popular,
well-known diet supplement that has grown in prominence
recently.
Like many new fat burners or weight loss supplements,
Zantrex 3 makes some remarkable claims. But where's the
fact and where's the fiction?
That's what this Zantex 3
review is dedicated to answering.
Zantrex 3 hit the market once the U.S. FDA ban took place.
(Click here for more information on the FDA's ban
of ephedra and other PPA products.)
With the disappearance of the ephedra fat burners, like many
supplement companies, the makers of Zantrex 3 saw an opportunity to
exploit a new opportunity.
Ads for Zantrex3 hit the airwaves touting Zantrex 3 as even more
powerful than ephedra based fat burners. Zantrex 3
Zantrex 3 Review
To be concise, we believe the claims made by Zoller Labs' with
their Zantrex 3 product are over inflated hype and exaggerated
marketing claims. What is our rationale? Consider this, the above
percentages and facts are disseminated by Zoller Labs' marketing
department.
There is simply no data in peer-reviewed journals to validate
these claims. Were the claims made by independent third-party
researchers or in-house? If in-house, then that is clearly not a
"bipartisan" point of view.
This arouses suspicion as the study done was either at the least
exaggerated, and at worse, outright fabricated. Certainly
exaggeration is common to marketing and no more so than in the
dietary supplement industry.
Does this mean that Zantex3 doesn't
work? Not necessarily. I believe it has some
potential to work effectively as a fat burner for its ingredients
are known, well researched, fat burners.
Zantrex 3 Ingredients
According to Zoller Labs' own marketing information, the
ingredients of Zantrex 3 are, "yerba mate, caffeine, guarana seed,
damiana, schizonepeta, green tea, piper nigum, tibetan ginseng,
panax ginseng, maca root, cocoa nut, kola nut, thea sinensis
complex." Let's discuss the major ingredients of Zantrex 3 in a
little more depth in this Zantrex 3 review.
Green Tea Leaf Extract
Green Tea helps to lower the bad cholesterol
(LDL) and has shown preventative benefits with coronary disease
as well. It's probably best known though for its antioxidant
properties. Aging is largely attributable to the effects of free
radicals.
Antioxidants in green tea concentrate, and by extension green
tea pills, eradicate these free radicals.
This is done by powerful antioxidant chemicals called
polyphenols. It also has caffeine (you can get it separately
without caffeine).
Yerba Mate
An herb that is growing in popularity. It's used in many fat
burning as well as general diet loss products. It's also in
Zantrex3. Bear in mind it has many good nutrients in it including,
though, caffeine.
Caffeine
Caffeine is probably the most recognized substance on this
ingredient list. Caffeine is a known stimulant and provides a
known, albeit temporary energy boost as well as a heightened sense
of awareness at its extreme. Its problems or side effects are, in
some mild paranoia if taken to extreme excess, it contributes
toward venous structure breakdown and is a contributor toward
varicose veins, is highly addictive,
and causes heart palpitations.
Tibetan Ginseng & Panax
Ginseng
Ginseng has been used for thousands of years in the Orient and has
many interesting properties. It is a positive stimulant, is
classified as an herb, is a natural aphrodisiac, increases energy,
improves the health of the organs of the body, improve memory, and
its active component, ginsenocides, have been shown in studies to
behave like anabolic steroids without the negative side
effects.
Guarana
Guarana herb comes from the S. Brazil region
and is found in the famed Amazon region as well. It is an
ingredient in Zantrex 3 as well as many fat burner and weight loss
products -- especially ever since the FDA's ban of ephedra. It is a
potent herbal that has a key substance called tetra methylxanthine
that emulates the energy boosting effects of caffeine
without the side effects of
caffeine.
It actually helps the metabolism work at a high rate over an
extended period of time and this can lead to greater weight loss.
It is a promising herb that is just now beginning to garner more
and more attention among naturopaths.
Cocoa Nut & Kola Nut
Cocoa and kola nut have naturally occuring caffeine in them, but
they have more benefits. Kola nuts are a stimulant properties apart
from the caffeine in it. It's also a heart tonic and a good general
tonic. Cocoa nut benefits include improve the emotional well being
through its three endogenous neuroamines including Tyramine,
Theobromine, and Phenylethylamine -- the same found in
chocolate.
Maca Root
Like Guarana herb, this is a mood enhancer herb that is rich in
many vitamins and minerals including vitamins B1, B2, B12
(especially important for women and vegetarians), E, riboflavin, C,
and thiamin, calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, and phosphorus. It is
also an aphrodisiac and increases fertility. It also helps as a
fitness aid in strengthening and supporting the body under
stress.
Damiana Herb
The damiana herb has been used primarily as
a sexual aphrodisiac, but it's also been known to work directly
with the human genitalia and related organs for helping to
minimize and even alleviate the symptoms of female menopause.
However, its secondary uses include diuretic properties, as an
anti-depressant; it also helps with anxiety, with type 1
diabetes, and even as a general purgative.
Its main use is clearly that is acts
directly on the reproductive organs, though. I
believe the reason Damiana herb is in Zantrex 3 is because it has
diuretic and purgative capability, which helps aid weight loss.
Conclusion
I believe that Zantrex 3 has some promise as a fat
burner/weight loss and energy booster due to the ingredients of
Ginseng, Green Tea, and Guarana herb.
All three are well researched -- especially green
tea concentrate -- for having significant health benefits. However,
the high concentration of naturally occuring caffeine and the
addition of caffeine is the prime active ingredient that stimulates
the weight loss claims, in our opinion.
This is not to say that Zantrex3 doesn't
have merit, we believe it does. But if you avoid caffeine for
either religious or health reasons, then you should definitely
avoid Zantrex 3.
Are there Zantrex3 side effects? Yes, there are.
I've dedicated a page exclusively for it and encourage you to read
it.
Final Word on this
Zantrex 3 Review:
I believe Zantrex3 has some merit due to its impressive list of
ingredients many of which are known to be potent tonics and herbal
aids. However, it does have an inordinate amount of
caffeine.
In fact, the caffeine appears to be the main fat burner/weight
loss agent -- and Guarana herb.
I also are troubled by the exaggerated marketing claims
made by the manufacturer. The claims may very well be correct, but
there is no peer-reviewed submissions that we could find.
