Piracetam Info
Piracetam
Info is getting more popular in the United States but in Europe
it has been popular for quite some time. Piracetam is the
first brain-enhancing drug to actually be marketed in Europe.
Yes, it's not a dietary supplement per se, but its capabilities
persuaded me to write about it.
Benefits of Piracetam
Medical clinical studies show that piracetam, when combined with
memory exercises, significantly improves age related or
age-associated memory loss.
It's also been shown to reverses hippocampal changes in
Alzheimer's disease and has brought improvement, and/or slowed
deterioration, in "senile involution" dementia.
In addition, it has restored various physiological functions
like the use of limbs, speech, EEC, slate of consciousness in
people suffering from acute and chronic cerebral ischemia
(decreased brain blood flow).
It's also helped improved "alertness, cooperation,
socialization, and IQ in elderly psychiatric patients suffering
from mild diffuse cerebral impairment" from one study I read. This
drug has also been widely studied in Europe as well. Interestingly
enough, it was initially prescribed for motion sickness.
It's even been used in the treatment of severe alcoholics,
treating alcohol withdrawal. This is one drug Big Pharma has gotten
right but then even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then.
Piracetam Side Effects
Believe it or not, to date (and this could always
change although I hope it doesn't), there are no serious side
effects of Piracetam reported. Some mild symptoms, though, that
occur occasionally are: anxiety, insomnia, headaches, agitation,
nervousness, and tremors. These are rare, though, and mild. Still,
this is important Piracetam info you should know about.
My Piracetam Info Recommendation
The recommended dosage of Piracetam is 2,400 mg to 4,800
mg divided in 3 separate dosages. As always, I want to mention that
you should always side with your doctor as to whether or not this
drug piracetem, or any drug for that matter and supplements as
well, is good for you. As Confucius once said, "The cautious seldom
err." Who am I to argue with Confucius, so, err on the side of
caution.
Talk to your doctor in depth about whether or not Piracetem is
right for you. It just could be. Unlike most drugs of today, it
doesn't have any reported side effects. That's rare. I recommend it
on that basis. Its pricing fluctuates from what I've seen on the
Web. I
've seen it as low as $16.95. Bear in mind, though, it's safest
to have a doctor prescribe it to you. If you're looking for an
alternative, however, I recommend Ginkgo Biloba. I've got personal
experience with this amazing herbal supplement. It's a keeper and
it's cheaper than a prescription. Much, much cheaper. And it's
perfectly safe too.
I've been taking it for years. My recommendation?
If you don't want to take Piracetam although I don't know why you
should, then look for pharmaceutical-grade quality nutritional
supplements with Ginkgo Biloba.
I take this memory supplement here as it is made in
GMP-compliant facilities thus ensuring its potency and its
contaminant free quality. It's made in New Zealand where they
regulate nutritional supplements, unlike here in the US where
I'm based.
I hope this Piracetam Info webpage has been helpful to
you.
Yours in health, hope, and harmony,
